Chief of Police Has an Emotional Outburst about Racial Violence in America

It’s been hard to avoid discussing the shooting of Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson. As usual it has torn open an old and bloody wound, with many seeing it as just another example of institutionalised racism within US police forces.

However, it’s important to remember that there are plenty of good officers who fight to protect everyone, regardless of race. Because of their uniform, they are put in the same camp as some truly rotten apples. Here we see Chief of Police for Milwaukee, Edward Flynn, give a truly heartfelt account of day-to-day violence against African Americans within his jurisdiction.
